Collecting extra compliance info for county matching funds
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Count On Me donation forms allow you to collect extra compliance info from donors so the donation may be submitted for county matching. We developed these features in partnership with MD candidates; ask your compliance/legal team if the feature set is adequate for your needs. The features include:
You can set a min/max donation amount for forms, to prohibit donations that are too small or big
You can modify the compliance footer to reflect your county's unique rules
You can disable recurring contributions
You can add fields to the form to get donors to attest to county residence and give an esignature
To get started - ask your Switchboard contact to enable county matching for your account. Once they confirm, please proceed with the following steps to create and share your forms:
Visit Switchboard https://oneswitchboard.com/
Go to "contribution forms"
Create a new contribution form
Customize the branding and copy of your form
If appropriate, edit the footer to reflect the county rules
If appropriate, edit the suggested amounts and set a minimum and/or maximum contribution amount
If appropriate, disable recurring contributions
Enable the "County Matching Program Requirements" toggle - this adds 1 required checkbox, 1 optional checkbox, and a donor esignature field to the form
Specify the copy for the required and optional checkboxes (typically the required checkbox is used for stating the county rules and the optional is used to collect whether the donor is a resident of the county)
Preview your form - use the arrows in the lower left to navigate through all the pages
Publish your form and copy the link to share with supporters
IMPORTANT - please use the following convention when inserting your form link into texts:
{{ "URL" | sb_link }}
