Using OneTap to reduce friction for repeat donors

Last updated: May 4, 2026

Starting today, all Count On Me donors will be able to save their personal and payment information to our service.

This donor network allows us to offer a powerful new feature to customers: OneTap.

Here’s how to use OneTap to give your donors the easiest donation experience possible:

Step 1

Build your form and copy the URL.

Step 2

Compose your broadcast, inserting the form URL as a tracked link (sb_link).

Step 3

Add an amount parameter to the end of your form URL. Here is sample syntax.

please give $7 today: {{ "PASTE-LINK-HERE?amount=7" | sb_link }}
Text STOP to quit

Step 4

Send your form!

Upon loading the form, recipients will be able to donate in one tap.

FAQ

Do donors have to opt in to OneTap? No! It’s completely optional. Donors who don’t opt in will still get a relatively frictionless experience as long as you insert your form URL into your broadcast as a tracked link (sb_link); any info you have on them in your universe will be passed through a token in the URL. Most of the time, donors just have to supply employer, occupation, and payment info to complete checkout.

Can donors opt out of OneTap? Yes, donors who previously opted in may opt out by logging into countonme.org. This link is shared in a few points throughout the donor journey, most notably in the receipt emails they’ll get from us after donating.

Can I access the info stored in my donors’ OneTap accounts? You will get any donor info associated with a donation. For example, if a donor logs into countonme.org and changes their address, you won’t have access to that ‘til they donate to you again and that address becomes associated with a successful contribution to your org.

Will you contact donors who opt into OneTap? Only with transactional messages like donation receipts, refund confirmations, etc.
