Setting up another Switchboard organization
Last updated: February 17, 2026
You should have a separate Switchboard organization for each organization you're sending messages on behalf of
You can have multiple Switchboard organizations associated with your email address. To sign up for another account, please click here.
Each Switchboard organization should be associated with only one campaign or candidate. If you are running a digital agency with many customers, the Switchboard organizations should be under your customers' names, not your agency name (since the sending number registration would be associated with your customers directly). For example, the below should all be different Switchboard organizations:
Selina Meyer for President
Selina Meyer's Leadership PAC
Office of Vice President Selina Meyer (official side account)
Barbie for President
What if my candidate is running for another office?
If a candidate is running for a different office (Selina Meyer for VP --> Selina Meyer for President) and/or your organization's IRS classification is changing (i.e. 527 > 501c3/501c4) you will need to update your 10DLC and Toll Free sending numbers.
You will need to request a new CV token with your updated EIN. You can give us the necessary information here. While you wait, you can use your existing Switchboard account with your current 10DLC sending numbers.
How do I update my Switchboard organization name to reflect the new entity?
You can use an existing organization over multiple cycles. To update your organization's name in Switchboard (which also updates the name on invoices), go to organization settings here.
How do I navigate between all my Switchboard organizations?
You can toggle between organizations by clicking your organization name in the top right and using the menu that will appear.
If you have many Switchboard organizations, you can favorite the ones you want to always show up in your side menu by going to your account settings here and scrolling to "Organizations."
What if the same entity wants another account for a separate use case?
Some campaigns prefer to keep their fundraising and organization broadcasts separate. You can request another account for the secondary use case by submitting the account request form again here. You can see (GOTV) to the end of the organization name so we know why you're submitting another account request.
